Consider this personal history an extended “about us” page, focused on the first author of this collaborative website – or rather, on his 35 years of experience (and counting) with the University Without Walls, with UWW at UMass, in particular. It is a story to be told in the manner of an old “penny dreadful serial”, in regular installments starting at the beginning. It’s essentially a blog, but told in (mostly) chronological, narrative form. I hope it proves entertaining as well as useful historically, to someone.
